Little Richard Curran had a unique experience one day last week when he was trudging along behind the hay- loader on his father's farm. The tongs of the loader seemed to reach out and caught him by the top of his overalls and then by his shoe and he was drawn up the loader and his father took • him out on the top of the load. Haying is over for another year and went In in fine shape, there being no rain of any account to spoil it. The rain which came last week was much appreciated for the grain, fruit and root crops. We were very sorry to learn that word had been received on Thursday that P.te. Russell Cook had been ser- iously wounded, while on duty in France. Russell went overseas this spring.
