JOIN THE C. W, A. C,
The womanhood of Canada are at
last realizing their opportunity of
serving with and not behind their
men. That is to SAY that the Cana-
dian Women's Army Corps is definite-
ly part of the Active Army of Canada.
They are not an :auxiliary in any way,
When a girl enlists she takes the place
of a man behind the line and in turn
becomes one of the reinforcements,
This increases the striking force of
our troops considerably.
This country is no longer rated by
its man-power but by it man and
women power, Consider the fact that
it takes ten men to keep one man in
the front line and that seven women
can replace seven of these men, it will
be seen that a tremendous number of
reinforcements are being made avail-
able immediately' to fill in any casual-
ties that may occur,
Applicants for the Canadian Wo-
men's Army Corps must be 18 and not
over 45 years of age, A or B category,
have at least grade VIII or its equiv-
alent, may be married or single, if
married, with no children -under age
16, and must be of good character.
Applicants do not necessarily have
to be British subjects. By a mutual
arrangement between Canada and the
United States, a citizen of either
country does not lose his, or her
citizenship if he or she enlists in the
army of either country.
There is positively no so-called "Red
Tape" involved in enlisting in the
Canadian Women's Army Corps, The
applicant makes out her application
which contains a number of questions
dealing with her occupation, etc., and
attaches three letters of reference as
to her character.- These are checked
and if accepted she will receive a
travel warrant to transfer her to Lon-
don where she will receive her medi-
cal examination. If she is rejected
she is given transportation back to her
home,
The Mobile Recruiting Unit is in
Wingham every Friday noon, any
member of whom is qualified to give
all information pertaining to enlist-
ment in the Canadian Women's Army
Corps,
