The bridal couple left on their wed-
ding trip to Quebec and points east.
The bride 'travelled in a smart blue
and white printed dress with navy

don. Guests were present from Buf-
falo,. Jamestown, Fort Shelby, Wing-
ham, Toronto, Guelph, Tennessee.

transfer business, Mr. Scott had been
employed as a clerk for the old Pacific
Express Company and by Armour &
Co. A native of Wingham, Canada,
Mr. Scott came to Fort Worth 60
years ago. He was the brother of
Walter B. Scott, Fort Worth attorney.
Other survivors arc his widow, a
son, C. T, Scott, and three sisters, Mrs,
3. A, Gracey, Mrs. R. J. Lackland and
Miss Kate Scott, all of Fort Worth;
three nieces, Mrs. Fenton J, Baker and'
Mrs. Hayden H, Hudson, both of Dal-
las,- and Mrs. Orr, Fort Worth, and
three nephews, Ruhts j,, S. B. and
Marshall P. Lackland, all of Fort
Worth.
Mrs. John M. Schaefer
The death of a former resident of
Wingliam, Mrs. Caroline Schaefer,
wife of the late John M, Schaefer who
operated the Xing Edward Hotel in
"Wingham some years ago, occurred in
Xitehetter on Monday, July 18th, at
the home of her daughter, Mrs. P.
Alttnin,'iti, her 82nd year. Surviving
are two daughters, Viola and Adeline,
Mrs. Ed, toll of Kitchener, and "five
sons, Charles M. Schaefer of Buffalo,
N.Y., Arthur, Edward and Walter of
Kitchener and Harry D. Schaefer of
Hanover. The funeral was held on
Thursday, July 16th to the Kitchener
Cemetery, Rev. A, W, Lotz of St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, conducted
the services.

BELMORE
The congregations of both churches
was rather thinned out Sunday. The
seats were much softer up at Port Al»
bert. They had thunder and lightning
there too, but didn't hear of anyone
getting wet.
The Presbyetrian congregation wilt
hold their picnic this week at Formosa.

The Union Picnic Thursday after-
noon on the Metcalf lawn, was a huge
success-but our men folk have
something to learn about hanging out
clothes.
Miss Edna Johann, quite popular as
a hurdle-jumpers, was thrown from
her driver last week. Edna is now a
resident of Toronto, Mr. Roan objec-
ted to any such lady rider. She was
slightly injured,
Miss Ada Clark now of Cargill, was
the guest of Mae and Edna Johann
the week-end. Mrs, Stevenson of To-
ronto, with Mrs. Shurter; Mrs, RintOut
and children of Wingham, at. 'Gordon,
Mulvey's, also Mr. and Mrs., Xelson,
Gowdy and family.
M. Jef fray visited Mr, and. Mrs.
john Gowdy Friday afternoon.
Bobbie Miller returned to hiS home
