HUMAN SUFFERING
In war the Canadian Red Cross helps to provide comforts
for our own lads who are prisoners of war, aids the gallant men
of the merchant marine when their ships are torpedoed, sends help
to the civilian victims of enemy bombing, and carries on its great
works of mercy wherever they are needed by our own people and
our Allies.
The Red Cross, because it work is performed in many
countries, cannot accept funds from the Government of a country
at war. Its support MUST come from the people.
YOUR help, whether your gift be small or large is urgently
