THREE HAPPY WINNERS Sandy Earl, Kevin McArter and Corrinna
Stephenson were first prize winners in the Post's coloring contest. Sandy -
placed first in the 5 and under class, Kevin placed first in the 9-12 age
group and Corrinna placed first in the 6-8 age category.

honour Gladys
and Sid Jones
On the evening of
December 14, the Brussels
United Church choir
members, their husbands &
wives met at the home of
Rev. and Mrs. Eric LeDrew
with Rev. Gordon and Mrs.
Hazelwood, and Mrs.Judy
Morton of Belgrave as guests
The choir presented a
fancy tray to Gladys and Sid
Jones who for the past five
years have been a very
dedicated couple as '
Organist, Choir leader and
pianist. Judy was r
introduced and welcomed.
She commences her duties as
Choir leader and Organist at
the first of the year.
Santa Claus made his
visit and from under the
lovely decorated , and lighted
Christmas tree he
brought gifts and presented
them to every one. A social
time was spent, followed by

The The Brussels Post. Christmas colouring
contest is, over and in its quest for prize
winners, the Post received 34 entries:
Mrs. Clark Matheson of Brussels a retired
school teacher was the judge for the contest.
In the 5 and under class, winners were
Sandy Earl of R.R.2, Listowel - First; Brent
Evans of R.R,3, Brussels - second; and.
David Smith, of R.R.4, Brussels - third.
Corrinna Stephenson placed first; Beverly
Hart of R.R.2, Brussels placed second and
Clinton Garniss placed third in Class 2 for
the 6,7 and 8 year old group.
In the 9-12 age group, Kevin McArter
placed first; Pat Maxwell placed second and.
Wendy Martin. of R.R.3, Brussels placed
third.
Prizes which will be sent out to the
winners, were $3 for the first in each class;
$3 for the second in each class and $1 for
third in each class.
