Senior club has Christmas dinner
Brussels Friendship Club
met on Wednesday, Decem-
ber 6 when a delicious dinner
was served at 12:30 by the
ladies of the Legion Auxiliary,
Verna Thomas president we':
corned everyone.
After the dinner a short
meeting was held. Everyone
signed a get well card for Ed.
Martin, a patient in the
hospital. Minutes were read
by Gertie Bolger. Louise
Marritt will be at the January
meeting to talk, or show
slides on transportation,
Frank Hooper led the,
singing of Christmas Carols
with Lula Kerr at the piano.
The members were enter-
tained by Mrs, Van Yliet
singing "Silent Night" in her
native tongue. Eleanor
Hemingway gave a reading
"Trouble in the Inn", Don
McDonald favoured with
three songs "Silver Bells",
"What Child is this" and
"White Christmas".
Hazel Matheson thanked
the ladies that served the
dinner, responded to by Jean
Bridge. Euchre followed with
13 tables at play. Prizes as
follows:-High Lady - Flor-
ence Webb; Low Lady - Amy
Speir; High Gent - Wilbur
Turnbull; Low Gent - Mel.
Jacklin; Most 2's on card -
Elsie Evans.

getting here at the Brussels
Post.
Some teachers have found
that the letters even make
good class assignments.. This
week the Post will be
publishing some letters sent
in by Mrs. Yvonne Martin's
grade 2 class at Grey Central
school in Ethel along with
some of the letters sent in by
local children.
Next week the Post will be
publishing letters sent in by
the East Wawanosh Public
School along with letters
from local kids. The Post
welcomes all letters to Santa
Claus.
