Saddle club has Xmas party
BY NORMA RILEY
The Seaforth and District
Saddle Club held its annual
Christmas Party at the
Seaforth Arena on Sunday.
Skating and playing floor
hockey on ice lured the
young and the not-so-young
to the ice surface. The
McLlwain line definitely
needs brushing up before
next year's match.
After skating, a pot luck
supper, plus Kentucky Style
Chicken, was enjoyed.
Brenda Pullman at the piano
supplied Christmas back-
ground music. Cards and
games followed. The little
ones were delighted when
the jingling of Christmas
Bells could be heard outside,
signalling, of course, the
arrival of that Jolly Old Man.
The club's president
Graham Sholdice thanked
the ladies for preparing
Christmas dinner. -Ile also
expressed his appreciation
for the co-operation received
from the membership during
his, year of office.
The new officers for 79 were
elected at the general
meeting in November. They
are: • Club President - Doug
Riley, Seaforth; Vice Pre-
sident - Harvey Hoggart,
ALL TUCKERED OUT — Dora Mathers from
Bluevale took time off for a breather
