announced a forthcoming Junior hockey game between Clinton and
Arthur was mislaid. The Post apologizes for the error. Above is some of
the action at that game, Friday night when the final score was Clinton - 7;
Arthur 4. The local arena is home ice for the Clinton team.

The Intermediate
Hockey Club have been
getting things put together in
their hockey games and have
come up with a winning way.
In, the last week they have
played four games and had
three wins ,and a tie.
On Sunday Dec., 3 they
were at home to Palmerston.
At one point in the third
.period they were trailing 4-2
Astout rallied to score 2 goals
with the tieing goal coming
with 20 seconds to go in the
game.
Scoring for Brussels were
Rick McDonald with 2 goals, -
Bruce Blake and Randy
Clarke 1 each. Assists went
to Murmy Nichol, Blaine
McCutcheon, Bill Sellers,
and Jerry Wheeler.
On Tuesday night they
travelled to Palmerston
On Monday night the
Brussels Peewees were in
Blyth where' they' won their
hockey game 7-2.: Leading
the team was Darrin Watts
with 4 goals. Kevin McArter,
Paul' Machan and Kevin
Johnston scored 1 each.
AssiSts went to Doug Shaw,
GAry Armstrong, Tim Fritz,
Rob Cardiff, Kevin McArter.
On Tuesday night the
Juvenile team were hosts to
the Drayton squad, and
Picked up a 3-1 victory. Bill
Smith scored 2 goals for
Brussels with Brian Deitner
getting the single. Assists
went to Alan Bragg, Rob
Demaray, Tim Prior, Doug
Cousins.
The Bantams were in
Seaforth on Tuesday night
for an exhibition game and
tied the Seaforth club 5-5.

Wheeler scored 2 goals each

On Friday night the team
travelled to Ripley for their
third game of. the week. At
the end of one period of
hockey Ripley led 2-1.
Brussels scored 1 goal in the
second to tie ' the game.
Brussels then scored early in
the third only to have Ripley
come back to tie the score.
Blaine McCutcheon scored
what proved to be the
winning goal with 3:05
remaining in the game.

Stewart Cardiff, Kevin
Wheeler, Steve Knight,
Todd Wheeler.
The Bantams were at
horn e to Elma-Logan on
Wednesday night. ,At one
point they were leading 3-1
only to fall behind 4-3 early
in the third. They came back
to score two goals late in the
third with the winning goal
coming with 41 seconds to
play. Todd Wheeler led the
attack with. 4 goals, Kevin
Wheeler scored a single.
Assists went to Doug
McArter, Peter Bennett,
Steve Knight, Kevin Bishop.
On Friday night the
Peewees were at home to
Blyth. They didn't seem to
get in the right gear and
were defeated 5-2. Darrin
Watts and Doug Shaw scored
the only goals with Rob
Cardiff picking up an assist.
The Novice Team was in
Teeswater on Wednesday
night for an exhibition game.
They came home with a 2-2
tie. Ian 'Johnston and Mark
Pennington scored the
Brussels goals .
On Saturday afternoon the
Bantams and Midgets both
travelled to Huron Park to
play hockey. The Bantams
won 4-0 over Huron Park.
Steve Knight scored 2 goals
Other goal scorers were Rick
McDonald with 2 goals, Dale
Edgar and Bill Sellers 1 goal
each. Assists went to John
McDonald, Randy Clarke,
Bruce Blake, Kevin.
Townsend.
On Suhday night the
Intermediates were at home
to Mitchell, They were
victorious in defeating the
visitors 6-1. Randy
Hutchinson came close to a
shut out keeping Mitchell off
the scoreboard until the last
five minutes of the game.
Gerry Wheeler led the attach
with 2 goals. Singles went to
Murray Lowe, Blaine
McCutchcon, Rick
McDonald, Bruce Blake.
Assists went to Jeff Alcorn,

their game with a 5-4 victory.

The Atom team was in
Monet on on Monday night
where they picked up a 9-2
win. Scoring for Brussels was

to Marty Rutledge, Shawn
Bremner, Wayne Wheeler,

The 50-50 draw for Minor
Hockey will be made 'this
Friday night during the
hockey games. If you haven't
purchased your tickets yet,
they are available downtown
at Lowe's Barber Shop,
Olympia Restaurant, the
Royal Bank or any Coach

Alfred Knight left last
Saturday for Picton where he
will spend the holiday ,season
at the home of his brother
Hector.
