AND I'D LIKE . We're not just sure what it was that Eddie Saxon of
Brussels was requesting from Santa Claus but it looks like he had some
definite ideas about what he wanted. (Photo by Langlois)

Correspondent
MRS. JOE WALKER
357-3558
In appreciative response to
Mrs. Glenn -M'cKercher's
invitation to the Presbyterian
W.M.S. to meet at her home,
16 ladies attended.
The president, Mrs. Glenn
Golley, used a Christmas
theme as her call to worship,
followed by a Christmas .
hymn. She also took charge
of the devotions based on
Elebrew, Chpt. 1 verse 6 and
Luke 2-10,11, and asked'
"What Makes Christmas?"
Is it the songs, the:
decorations, and the gifts?.
Surely it is in knowing
Christ, and showing His love.
to all-- the poor, the needy,
the oppressed. Christ's gift
of salvation from His
outstretched hands s the
greatest of all gifts. With no
need to work for it, we just
accept it. Let us, think not of
what we may get, but what
we can give, or do for
someone less fortunate than
we. Let us sacrifice -inour
giving, and worship Christ.
Mrs. Beryl Kirton offeted
prayer.
A Christmas topic was
offered by Mrs. Ross Mann;
Using Luke 1:.30-33 and Luke
2: 4-7, she asked if there is.
room inour hearts and in our
lives for Jesus today, or is it
as it was two thousand years
ago--no room?
We are so absorbed in the
rush of daily living and in
making more and more
money, shuning hungry
children in slum areas,
pushing lonely old people
into the background, and
bOting ourselves, with
running from one cocktail.
party to another. This
Christmas could we resolve
to have room for Jesus in our
homes, to worship with
prayer and joyous carol
singing, as we show concern
in serving others as we
accept Jesus's gifts of love,
joy and peace:
Reports were heard froin
all secretaries, and the
meeting closed with
hymn singing, prayer, and
tue serving of refreshments
by Mrs. B. kitton, Mrs. G,
Golley and MtS. G.
