YOUR CATTLE—Ron Bennett of RR 1, Gorrie
was ori hand at a cattle treatment session in
Belgrave last Wednesday to show farmers how
to dehorn their cattle. The demonstration was
given at the farm of Doug Walker.

On Wednesday night the
Wingham Atoms were in
town to play the home town
squad. Brussels scored the
first goal and managed to
stay ahead to win 6-4, Dean
Wheeler led the way with
five goals, with Marty
Rutledge scoring one. As-
sits went to Dave Wheeler,
Sean Kuffer, Dean Nicholson
Paul Tolton.
In the second game of the
night the Blyth Bantam were
here to defeat the local boys
8-4. At the end of the second
period the score was tied 4-4
but in the third period Blyth
scored 4 unanswered goals.
Brussel's goal scorers were
Les Black with 2, Todd
Wheeler, Kevin Wheeler one
each, Assists went to Peter
Bennett, Lisa Black, Todd
Wheeler.
On Friday night the Huron
Park Peewees were in town
to play hockey although the
score looked like a football
game. Leading the way foi

and Doug Shaw with 5 goals

MARY ELLEN COULTES
Mary Ellen Coultes, 71, of
Belgrave, died Saturday
November 18 in the
Wingham and District
Hospital following a short
illness.
She was born in Belgrave
the, daughter of the late
Robert Stonehouse and the
former Agnes Jamieson. She
attended Belgrave Public
School and was married on
September 16, 1933 to
Robert H. Coultes who still
survives her. They resided
and farmed on the third line
of Morris until 1966 when
they retired to Belgrave.
She was a member of the
U.C.W. of Knox United
Church in Belgrave.
Surviving are two sons,
William and Glenn of Morris
Township, two sisters Carrie
Cossitt Dean Rutledge
Scott. Boylan one each.
Assists went to Dean
Bentley, Steve Bridge,
Kevin Johnston, David Cos-
sitt, Darrin Watts, Kevin
McArter, Scott Boylan,
Wayne McCutcheon, Tim
Fritz, Doug Shaw, Robbie
Cardiff, Rick Knight.
The Huron Park Midgets
were here for the second
game of the night and de-
feated the local boys 7-3,
Brussels scores were Mike
Watson, Brian Tenpas and
Darryll Youngblut Assists
went to Ken Cousin s, Brian
Tenpas and Mike Watson.
Won 7.0
On Saturday afternoon the
A foms, were in Mitche '11
for an exhibition game where
they won 7-0. Scoring for
Brussels were Marty
Rutledge with 3 goals, Dean
Wheeler, Paul Tolton, Shawn
Bremner, Dave Wheeler 1
each. Assists went to Marty
Rutledge, Sean Kieffer,
Dave. Wheeler, Dean
Wheeler.
The Novice team played
their first home game of the
season when the Belgrave
(Mrs. Harry McGuire),
Agnes (Mrs. Russel Walker
of Goderich) and Lewis
Stonehouse of Belgrave. Also
surviving are nine grand-
children.
She was predeceased by
three brothers, Gordon of
Arizona, Norman of London
and Stewart of Belgrave.
The body rested at the
S.J.Walker Funeral Home in.
Wingham and funeral
services were to be held at
Knox United Church in
Belgrave on Tuesday,
November 21 at 2 p.m, with
Rev. John. G. Roberts
officiating. Burial was to
follow in the Brandon
Cemetery in Belgrave.
Pallbearers were to be
nephews Kenneth Mitchell
of Snelgrove, Dale Mitchell
of Scarborough, Jack•
Mitchell of Rothsay, Bruce
MacDonald and Jack Walker
of Wingham and Sam Pletch
of Belgrave.
Five grandchildren,
Janice, Joanne, Karen, Paul
and Steven Coultes were to
be flowerbearers.
Novice were in town for an
exhibition game, The Anal
score was Brussels 2,
Belgrave 2, Brussels scorers
were Dean Nicholson and
Gary Martin with the only
assist going to Tim Dillow.
The Juveniles also played
two hockey games this week.
On Tuesday night they were
at home to Hensall and
played to a 4.4 tie.
On Sunday afternoon they
travelled, to Blyth for a good
game of hockey but were
defeated S-I. Goal scorers
were not available.
