Packer's building
A delegation at a meeting of Brussels
council Monday night presented a possible
use for the Export Packer's building.
Ian McDonald introduced Brussels council
members to Carl Miners, a contractor who
had several contracts. with Ontario Hydro.
"If the village got the deed to the Export
Packer's building Mr. Miners would be
interested in taking it over, if you fellas are
agreeable if and when you get . it," Mr.
McDonald said.
Reeve Cal Krauter told him at this point
council can't do a thing but that if Mr.
Miners is still interested when council has
something they will let him know.
In other business, council received aletter
from the Ministry of the Environment
informing them that the sewage works
program is actively in the final design stages
and they anticipate the engineering work

should be completed by the spring, of 1979.
Council also heard that the arena building
committee had received a cheque from
Wintario for $35,637.94 which payA off the
notes council had guaranteed.
They recieved a letter from Doug
Trollope's lawyers Goodall and Campbell
suggesting that council had misunderstood
his intention regarding the Olympia
restaurant. They said water damage had
been received to the Tollope building and
they wanted to ascertain if it was coming
from the restaurant. Council decided it was a
neighbour's dispute.
Council also head that the Huron County
Land Division Committee was having a
