Special mention is merited by Harry, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Jaretzke, R. R. 5 Wingham j who following his delivery of the valedictory address I received a standing ovation in honour of his scholastic achievements. He was, presented with six mon- etary awards. His average percentage acquired in Grade Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bolt on 13 was 86.7. The parents of the above named graduates are indeed _proud, but the teachers of the East Wawanosh element- ary school must feel an inner pride that so many fine students were initially schol- ars in the Belgrave school. 4-H Belgrave III Belgrave III held a Hallow- members had Prepared. Everyone took part in several games, Pin the tail on the Donkey, Button-Button and Pushing a Peanut. The smalletch ildren took part in a scramble hunt for candies. Mr. Robert Hibberd along with Lloyd Herne of Exeter attended the annual County Meeting of West Bruce L.O.L. in the Underwood Orange Hall on Saturday. We are sorry to hear that Kenneth Wheeler is a patient in Victoria Hospital, London. Mr. Robert Hibberd at- tended the men's Club meet- ing in FordwiCh United Church last Monday evening when they entertained the meri of Fullarton A.O.T.S. The program consisted of a tape of an address at lieswick Men's Conference by Peter White. Lunch was served at the close of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hib- berd attended the annual banquet of Blyth R.B.P.1222 held in the Belgrave W.I. Hall on Friday evening. The program consisted of an address by R.W. Sir Knight K. Edgeson and solos by Clarke Johnston. The head table guests were introduced by W.A. Nethery P.P and Donald Procter thanked the Institute ladies for the meal. The speaker was thanked by Clare Van Camp. Thirty-five members and their wives and friends attended. 4, Mr. and. Mrs William Gow visited on Sunday with Mrs. Mae McArthur of Stratford and Mrs. William Nahrgang of Rostock. Win at Euchre Ten tables of euchre were played at the Belgrave Weekly Euchre last Wednes- day evening in the Institute Hall. High Lady was Mrs. Fred Robinson and High Man -Lawrence Taylor. The 2nd High lady was Mrs. Robert Higgins and 2nd High Man was Edgar Wightman. The Low Lady was Mrs. Verena Bone and, the. Low , Man was William Gow.
