BILL ELSTON
Bill Elston has been on
Morris Township Council as
reeve since 1968 and is
running again for that
position because he believes
he has something to offer.

blems of different levels of
HENRY EXEL
Henry Exel's reason for
seeking re-election to the
post of PUC Commissioner is
that he has served for the
past 1 1/2 years as commis-
sioner and has become quite
interested in the position.
"I have also earned some
insights and knowledge of
how our PUC operates, the
workings of our electrical and
water systems, and feel that
this experience makes me
better qualified for the posi-
tion," he said.
The main issues facing the
PUC he believes are, "Con-
stantly striving to improve ,
our systems by new instal-
lation and preventative main-
tenance. Also, with sewers a
very good possibility during ,
the next four years, to assure
that these are installed with
the least interruption to
existing services."
Mr. Exel has lived in
Brussels for the past 29 years
is married and has four
children, He is in the Build-
ing Construction business
and says he has a good
technical knowleogge of items
that might arise.
He has been an active
member of the Brussels
Lions Club for 12 years and is
a past president of the club,
has served as a member of
the Brussels, Morris and

building. Committee since its
ineeption and has served as
Parade Chairman during the
Brussels Centennial.
"I feel that I live in
Brussels, call it ity home-
for four years now and
decided to run for council
again because, "I went in
there four years ago and
after four years I felt that 1
either had to go up or out."
He is trying this time fro
the position of reeve and
because he has been
privileged to serve the tax-
payers as a councillor in
Morris for the past four years,
feels this experience will .
enable him to represent the
people as Reeve.
Also said, "I enjoyed my
four years as councillor and I
would welcome the op-
portunity of serving the
township as Reeve in the
upcoming year,"
To him, some of the main
issues in the township are
the bridges and the official
plan.
He operates a farm in
Morris Township, He also
once worked at the. United
'Dairy Poultry Co-op in Wing-
ham for 11 years and at the
Belgrave Co-op for 12 or 13
years and farmed in the
mean-time. He served as a
director at the Belgrave
Co-op for six years.. He and
his wife Thelma have six

town and would like to serve
my community as a respon-
sible citizen," he said.
HAROLD BRIDGE
Harold Bridge is seeking
re-election on the PUC Com-
mission and chose to run
again because he enjoys
working with. the hydro and
water commissioners and the i
PUC is also of great interest
to him.
The main issue facing the
village in the next two years
he says is the sewer project.
His past political ex-
perience includes being a
member of Brussels Council
for two years from 1974-1976
and being on the PUC from
1976-1978.
