McCallum died in Huronview, Friday October 27, in his 97th year, Formerly from Belgrave Mr. McCallum was the husband of the late Edith Bruce (1962). He is survived by daughter Eileen (Mrs. George W. Jones), London, two grand daughters Susan and Irene, and great grandfather of Murray and Rodney Pratt, London. He was predeceased by sisters, Susan, Flora, Mary, Annie, Maggy and brother Duncan. After resting at the R.A. Currie and Son Funeral ! Home, Wingham, services were held Monday, with interment at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave. Several number were given including a solo by Gladys. Jones. a duet, by Joyce Jacklin and Lloyd Wheeler, a quartet of Betty Campbell, Sarah Stephen- .. Obituary J.E. YUILL John Ernest Yuill, 78, of Brussels died . Thursday, October 26 at Wingham and District. Hospital. He was born in Morris Township, the son of the late Mr. and. Mrs. Walter Y wit an farmed there-until moving to Brussels in Septeinber of 1969. He was a member of Melville Presbyterian Church in Brussels and served there as an elder for 40years. He was also clerk of session for many years. He is survived by.his wife, the former Mary Bowman, one daughter Jean (Mrs. Walter Bewley), of Walton; a brother Sam, of RR 3, Granton and a sister Marge (Mrs. John. Bowman) of RR 5, Brussels, Also surviving are two granddaughters Mary (Mrs. Wayne Baker), of Darwin, Australia; and Brenda (Mrs. Dan Raven), of RR 3, Sherwood Park, Alta. and one great grandson John Raven.He was pre-deceased by one sister Christine (Mrs. T.Y. McDonald). Funeral services were held Saturday, October 28 at the M.L. Watts funeral home in Brussels with Rev. Ken Innes officiating. Burial fol- lowed in Brussels cemetery. Pall bearers were Murray, Keith and Wayne Elston and Paul Strickland, Mait. Edgar and Jim Bowman. Flower bearers were Bill Elston and Lbyd Humphrey. Funeral son, Joyce Jacklin And Barbara McCutcheon, also a quartet by Einly COuSinS, George coo sin s, Betty Campbell and Murray Hoover. Following the church service Luella and Jack Mitchell opened their home to the choir members, their husband and wives and some former choir members, Forty people sat down to a delicious hot meal prepared and served by the ladies of the choir. A very enjoyable time was spent by all. The Thank Offering Sunday was included in this Service. The Belgrave Weekly Euchre started last week with 7 tables in play They will be - held every Wednesday evening . at 8 p.m.. in the W.l. Hall.
