Melville Guild following

held. September 19 in the
church parlours with Isobel
Huether opening •the meet-
ing with a poem on `Harvest'.
The scripture Psalm 106
verses 1-12 was read in
unison. The theme "The
Grace of Gratitude or Thanks
giving" was presented by
Brenda Perrie followed by a
poem; "The Sower."

in Whitoehureh. Ontario and
resided in Port Huron since
1924. She was the widow of
John V. Sinclair, who died
March 17, 1959,
Mrs."-Sinclair was a mem-

Lakeview Rebekah Lodge 26,
Port Huron. She was a
member of Ladies Auxiliary
of Patriarch Militant Canton
15, Pert. Huron; Westminster'
`-United Presbyterian Church;
and Senior Citizens, She was
Past.. Chaplain el' , Rebekah
Ass'embly of Michigan.
Mrs: Sinclair is survived
by a 'sister, Mrs. Margaret
Rutledge of Brussels, Ont.
and several nieces and
nephews including Mrs: Cleo
Rutledge, Port Huron,
Funeral services were held
from the Arthur Smith
Funeral Home, North Chapel
Port Huron.

LAMONT
Leonard Samuel Lamont,
59, of Brussels died at the
Wingham Hospital on Sun-
day, September 24.
He was horn -in Grey
Township the son of Hugh
and Mary Lamont and
worked as a farmer in Grey
Township until -he retired to
Brussels. He was a member
of the Royal Canadian Le-
Legion.. :.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Jean Alcoa; two
brothers, lim of London and
Graham of Clifford and two
sisters, Shirley of Monkton
and Doreen of Clifford.
Funeral services were held
on Tuesday, September 26
with burial following in the
Bnissels cemetery:
The pall bearers were Glen
Bridge of Brussels; Tom
Garniss of Brussels; Stewart
Humphries of Walton; Jack
McWhirter of Brussels,
Spence Scott of Brussels and
Barry Golley of Brussels.

Members of the Brussels
Legion, Branch 218, held a
memorial service at the
Funeral Home at 9:00 p.m.
Monday evening.

William Lindsay Ireland,
98, died. Thursdayq
September 21st in' Wingham
and District Hospital. He was
the son of the late James K.
' Ireland and Jean Res's.
He farmed almost his
entire life on concession 3, of
Morris Twp. In 1919 he was
married to Mary Isabel
Anderson who predeceased
him in 1958. .He was a
life-long member of Brussels
Melville Presby.teriati
Church. -
He is survived by one
daughter, Mary, Mrs.
Stewart McCall of Walton
and four grandehildren and
three great grandchildren.
One son, James, pre-
deased him in 1977. The
funeral service was held on
Saturday., September 23 .con-
ducted by Rev. K. lines of •
Melville Presbyterian
Church. Burial was in Brus-
sels Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Bow-
man and. Bruce McCall of
Brussels, his grandsons Dr.
John McCall of Campelle-

Frank David Cobb, 60 of
Brussels died Tuesday,
September 19 in Clinton
fkispital.
He was born in Toronto
and later moved to Brussels
where he worked as an Auto
Body repairman in his own
shop. He was married to the
former Edna Reyner who still
survives him.
Surviving also are t three
daughters, Mrs. Robeit
(Louise) Hallahan of
. Bramalea; Mrs. (Janet) Louis
Wing of Bramalea and Mrs.
Charles (Joanne) McKay of
Wingham. .
Funeral services were held
at the Tasket.Funeral Hbnie
in Blyth on Thursday with
Rev. Eric Le Drew of Brus-
sels United Church of-
ficiating. Burial was in Blyth
Cemetery.
