Making better use of the 31

than they ever have before,
according to a report
presented last week to the
Perth Board of Education.
The report, compiled by
Superintendent of Business
and Finance Lee Anderson,
indicates a significant rise in
the number of hours spent .by
the community in-the schools
during the past year as

The report represents
good news to the board,
which has a policy of
encouraging the community
to use school facilities when
not recidired for school
purposes. It was compiled
through the data taken from
permits issued over the year,
Total community use of the
schools rose to 10,313 hours
this year as compared with
9,146 hours one year ago.
The five Perth high schools
saw 5,244 hours of use while
the community spent 5,069
hours in the elementary
schools. -
Of the high schools, St.
Marys District Collegiate and
'Vocational institute was used
the most by the public, who
