Then they had an import from the city--Barrie "Whiskers" Cur- rie. He's not much better, he got tangled up in his beard, Next was John "Furnace" Pennington--he thought he was still cleaning up furnaces. Coach Muzz tried to help out the •men but he was so busy smoking and coaching that the pitcher had 3 balls by him before he knew what was happening. George "Curlie Fingers" Langlois popped 3 fly balls out to our terrific fielders, No sweat there. Not even their pitcher, bellowing Lowe could pull the team together even pitching at 30 feet so he could reach the plate. Behind the plate trying to unip was "trip along" Barb. She did a terrific job even if we had to pay her to make the right calls. So after a score of 17-2, the girls took pity on the men and retired the game so they could get their wind back at a barbeque and swim at Langlois sunken pool with the foiling deck. A good day was had by all but it will be a long time before the boys will chal- lenge the girls again. Next game for the girls will be Wednesday against Sebringville in town, Royal Jerry better be there with his popcorn and peanuts or else Mary Lowe still take over. She's back and in quiet voice and Jerry will be demoted to bat boy after the team shows him what the bat looks like. • 26th Season Gm /dr k)Ocklier
