The following are the ex-
amination results of the pupils of
Mrs. Winona Martin in the Royal
Conservatory Pianoforte Ex-
aminations held at Blyth in June.
Grade VIII First Class Honours
- Brian Armstrong, 80%, highest
in a class of 8 and only first class
honours Brian will receive his
Grade VIII certifiCate, as he
previously passed Grade II
Rudiments with First Class
Honours - 86%.
Grade VII Pass - Linda Machan
68%, Second in class of 3. Linda
will receive her Grade VII
certificate as she previously
passed Grade II Rudiments with
Honours, 77%.
Grade V Honours - Janice,
Somers, 74%, second in class of
7.
ASPIRING LIBERACES?—Well perhaps not, but the
students of Mrs. Winona Martin did give a piano
recital at the Melville Presbyterian Church. on. June
25. Pupils taking part were: Georgina and Gus
Protopapas, Pamela Nolan, Chris and Karla- King,
Sandra Sholdice, Lois Annonech, Margaret, Kim,
Sharon and Nancy Exel, Tim and Kim Fritz, Chris
Lanalois, Cathy and Jeff McGavin, Marianne Scott,
Morning Star Lodge held its
last meeting of the season on
Tuesday evening June 27.
It will resume again on Sept 12
with a pot luck supper. During the
business period, suggestions
were made as to how to spend the
gift of money given to the Lodge
by the Brothers, on the occasion
of the Lodge's 45th birthday.
Following the meeting, the
Sisters surprised Mrs. Jennie
Turnbull with a birthday cake and
gift.
On Thursday afternoon July 6,
the Rebekahs treated the re-
sidents of Callan der Nursing
Home to a supper of ham, tasty
salads, fresh strawberries and
cake and other dainties.
The weatherman co-operated
which allowed the patients to eat
BPS Grade
7 has trip
to Toronto
On June 9 the grade / class of
BPS went to Toronto arriving at
the Royal Ontario Museum at 10
a.m. This was where we ate our
dinner.
After dinner the class went to
the Parliament Buildings where
they had a tour of the Chamber
Room.
They also got to see 3 or 4 Air
Canada Airplanes take off at the
Toronto Airport.
On the trip home the class
stopped at MacDonalds for some-
thing to eat. Everyone enjoyed
the trip.
Special thanks to Mrs. Kirkby,
Mrs. Cronin, Mrs. Pipe and Mrs.
Wheeler and to a very helpful bus
driver Doug Evans.

have reunion
At the Lion's Club Park,
Seaforth on Sunday July 9 the
40th reunion of the McTaggart
families was held. There were 45
people in attendance at the
picnic.
Following dinner at noon and a
business meeting, contests and
games were enjoyed.
Visitors were from Port Franks,
Mt. Brydges, Delaware, Toronto,
Bracebridge, Goderich, Brod-
hagen, Brussels and Walton.
