Then came a message, a sort of
bounty,
A chap named George, retired

We, asked around and sure as

George landed along, one snowy

M.P. P,
Born (Elizabeth Wiley) at.
Laing in Parry Sound District in
1888, she lived there for'ten years
until the death of her mother
when the family moved to the
Turnberry area. In 1911, she
He looked around, and met a few,
And John Lyndon said, I know
you'll do.
Now "Short" moved in the first of
the year,
.And we thought for sure he'd stay
right here,
But it seems that now, we have to
part.
For a girl named "Alma" has
stolen 'his heart.
Now "Short" was good to us in -
every way
He brought the-mail to us day by
day
His car was always at our disposal
But it seems, "To Alma" he's
made a proposal
, There are some of us here
Who could take you way back.
To when Short courted sweet
Gertie
Who lived by the track
And when that broke up
Again he did ramble
In the opposite direction
To a farm home named Campbell
but he finally married
And man alive ,
They raised themselves
A family of five.
But the, kids grew up
As kids usually will
And wedding bells chimed
her topic, "Prepare and
Advance3 " 'the: P.A. system used
for communication. We must be
equipped to be his witness, and in
tune with•God. "Act, read and
live. We must prepare the next
generation," Mrs. Bemus said,

Turnberry in 1948 where she lived
for S years.
In 1953 she moved to Morris.
Township to the farm of her
cousins Robert and Ernest Michie
For Bob, Betty and Bill
With more time on his hands
Short started to roam
For now he just had
Cliff and Jim at his home
So Short went to pick fruit
In a Strawberry patch
And there he met Alma
As you see, T'was a match
Yes you're building a house
That we'd all like to see
But we'll manage that George
At a good chivacee,
Some folks may think
That we're old and slow
But we'll get to that party
'We're all "rarin" to go
To all of you Bachelors
Pray take some advice
Marriage can't be too bad,
When Short to ckles it twice.
So I've taken enought,
' Of everyone's time,
To read you this jingle,
And silly old rhyme.
Good luck to you
And your lucky 'Bride
May you have many years
With her by your side.
On behald of Maple Villa and all
the Tenants.. Please except these
tokens of Remembrance and
don't forget Alexander Street in
Brussels.
