Terry Sugg suggested that if •the carnival was held again next year that the BBA would have to start planning it now and tell the other clubs so that nothing else is planned for that weekend. A committee made up of Wayne Grube, Ken Webster, Terry Sugg, Herb Stretton and John Sims was formed to ask the other clubs if they would co-operate. Another locatioh was sug- gested for nextyear just in case sewers are being installed: Street, signs were discussed and Ken Webster proposed to put up street signs on the Main Street as a start. Another suggestion was to see if council would now take over the sign program. $65•! a sign includes the post/metal and sign. The 70 corners hi the village require 140 signs with two signs to a post. There are now 30 signed-up advertisers for 'a brochure pro- moting the village which has room for' 45 advertisers. A brewer's retail book was brought to the• meeting and the• town can adverstise its projects in it free of charge, so the BBA are going to list everything to put in. A committee was formed for the Santa Claus parade. Anyone interested or anyone who has any ideas for the parade is talk to Ken Webster. • ' The committee made up of Wayne Grube, John Sims, Lloyd Mayer, Alf Knight, T. Cousins and Terry Sugg is to ask each merchant to paint what they want on a standard size of plywood. The BBA will paint the the white base for small charge. The signs are for floats in the Santa Claus parade. A letter was received from Grade 7 pupils thanking Ken Webster for supplying the hydro for their booth at Carnival Days. They made approximately $200 which is to go towards their trip to the Science Centre in Toronto. The next meeing is to be held July S.
