Tom Pletch said he had had
complaints about cars speeding

Mrs. Hazlewood visited in
Hamilton last week.
Dr. Anne Oldfield, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Max Oldfield of
Brussels, was featured in a photo
and story in a recent issue of the
Fort Frances Times. Dr. Oldfield,
who practises in Rainy River, was
the medical expert on a panel
which discussed rape and sexual
assault.
Mrs. Amy Speir spent last
weekend at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Speir in Simcoc and
attended the wedding of her
grandson Jamie Speir. She also
visited with her daughter Helen
and husband at Calledon-East.

Optimists in
ball tourney
The Brussels Optimist ball
team entered a Ball Tournament
Saturday in St. Pjaul and won their
first game against Thorndale 29
-28.
This put them in the champion-
ship round but they lsot 19-9
against Downie. The boys wore
themselves out playing horse-
shoes while waiting for the next
game. At least they're'getting to
know the rules of the game if only
they could keep them straight
from fast ball,
