Walton students have
annual Spring concert
WHEN Y OU'RE HOT, YOU'RE HOT — These two
thermometers may hive been singing about
cli mbing temperataures in the summer but Grade

Toll gave a warm welcomed to all.,
Mrs. Barbara Bosman provided
the piano accompaniment.
The opening Disco Dance was
given by the Kittens of the
Kindergarten with' a gymnastic
display followed by the Puppiex
the rest of the Kindergarten
acting in a play, "Alexandra and
the terrible, horrible no good very
bad day," assisted by their
teacher, Miss Mary Ellen Walsh.
Summer Is About
Grade 1 pupils did well telling,
"Just what summer is all about"
in action and song. Mrs. Roy
Alcock is their teacher .
Grade 2 under the direction of
their teacher, Mrs. Don Pletsch
put on the play in acting and
song, "The little white rabbit who
wanted red wings." Grade 3 gave
a musical play, "Happy Day"
under the leader ship of Mrs. Toll
assisted by teacher, Mrs. D.
Riley.
The pupils and teachers are
Comm e n ded on their efforts in so
much work in putting on this
splendid program. The children
seemed to enjoy doing it, as much
as the audience enjoyed watching
them.

FISCHER— BARTON
Evelyn Barton, daughter of Mrs. A. F. Barton of Penticton,
British Columbia and Carman W. Fischer, son of Mr. and. Mrs.
Stanley Fisefier of Cranbrook, were married in a double ring
ceremony in Knox Presbyterian Church, Cranbrook on May 20.
Dr. R. Thomson officiated at the ceremony. The bride was given
in marriagd byler brother, Colin Barton of Gold River, B.C. The
maid of honour was Terri Emanuele of Toronto and the
bridesmaid was Anita Nelischer of Toronto. The groomsman was
Kenneth Hunking of Toronto and the ushers were Chris Barton,
of Victoria, B.C. and James Moore of Toronto. The organist was
Mrs. S. Steiss, R.R.#2, Brussels and. the soloist was Mrs. B.
Denny of Woodbridge. A reception and dance was held in Kin.
„ Station, Listowel following the wedding and guests attended
from British Columbia, Kitchener, and Toronto. The couple will

EDGAR — ARNOLD
Janet Arnold, daughter of Mrs.,Ralph Arnold and the l'teMr.
Arnold of Brigden , and Brian Kenneth Edgar, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Maitland Edgar of Petrolia were married in Brigden United
Church on May 27. Rev. A.P. Smith officiated at the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother David Arnold.
The maid of honor was Carol Arnold, sister of the bride, and the
bridesmaids were Mrs.Anne Chinnicli of Bothwell and Margaret
Sanborn of LdndOn. The groomsman was Barry Edgar, brother of
thegrooni, and the Ushers were Bruce Gray of Wyoming and
William Tennyson of Brig den. The soloist was William
Boyinton of Brigden. A reception was held at the Guildwood Inn,
Sarnia following the wedding with guests attending from
Waterloo, Kingston, Wingham, Brtissels, Blyth and Bel roe
The grandparents of the groom are Mr, and Mrs. John Bowman
of Brussels , The couple will reside in Petrolia,
