atthe United Church here Sunday
morning. Rev. WiJena, Brown
preached on the topic "Faith and
Work" . Church work and farm
work are similar in that both are
unpredictable and both need
people in order for growth to take
place, she said.
Next Sunday Miss Brown will
be at Ashfield for anniversary
service and Rev. Albert Cook will
be in charge of services at
Binevale.
During the service it ` was
announced that Rev. Lawrence
King. a former student minister
here, will be returning, from
Newfoundland to take up
residence at Leamington. He will
serve the Mersa pastsual charge,
comprising the communities of
Mount Carmel; Goldsmith and
- Oakland.
It was also announced the
U.C.W. will hold an open meeting
in the church at 8:30 p.m, on June
4. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Thornton
will show slides and report on
their trip to England and
Scandinavia last summer. Among
the experiences they will share
will be that of a royal garden
party in London.
