There'll be lots of popcorn,'
pony rides, and phython snakes, in
Brussels next Monday.
That's the day an old-fashioned
circus is coming to town
sponsored by the Brussels_
Agricultural Society.
The Martin and Downs circus
includes 90 minutes of prancing
liberty horses, trained llama,
aerial trapeze and Spanish web
stars, educated mules and goats,
clever canines,, wizards' of
balancing and juggling, circus
funny men and the circus
elephant.
Brussels is one of 13 cities anid
towns across Canada in which the
circus will appear. From early
May till mid-September.
Under the sponsorship of the
Brussels Agricultural Society, two
shows will be presented at 6 and 8
p.m. at the Brussels fairgrounds.

stores and members of the.

and. Ed,Martin the president was
in charge. Minutes were read by
Gertie Bolger. The report of the
Nominating Committee was

June 22 is the date for Senior
Citizens to visit Huronview and a
barbecue chicken dinner is to be
served. Wilbur Turnbull gave the
treasurer's report.
A quilt made by the workland
play club for the plowing match
was on display.
Viola Haines from,13lyth gave a,
brief talk on a number of bus
trips, mostly one day ones, to take
place this summer and fall.
/A few games of euchre followed
the meeting. Winners were: High
Lady--Sadie McDonald; Low
Lady--Mrs. Van Vleit; High
Gent--Della .Shaw playing as a
man; Low Gent--Wilbur Turnbull.
