were winners of the high average trophies when the
Brussels Mixed Bowling League held a bowling
banquet at the Brussels Legion on Saturday night.

at the home of Mrs. Chas.
Terpstra with Mrs. L. Knight.

During the business it was
suggested by Several members
that the meetings be started at
8:30 p.m. sharp.
Mrs. Workman was authorized
to purchase some flowers, to make
an arrangement to be presented
to the Ethel W.I. for their 75th
Anniversary May 31st..
Mrs. Lefor, Mrs., Baker and
Mrs. Van Dokersgoes voluntered
to be the committee to cater to a
wedding on June 23rd.
Mrs. Veitch, Mrs. Baker, and
Mrs. Cox voluntered to be the
committee to cater to a wedding
on July 7th.
Mrs. Strickler reported $470.00
had been collected for , the
Canadian Cancer Society, then
she thanked everyone who made
this campaign successful.
Mrs. Engel voluntered to make
one dozen muffins or cupcakes for
the Huronview Blossom tea on
May 31st.
Mrs. Lefor gave a brief report
on her recent trip to the 30th
annual Officer Conference held at
the University of Waterloo.
It was reported that the
Moncrief Bus Trip will take place
on June 13. Cranbrook is re-
sponsible for 21 seats. The cost is
$6 anyone interested is to
contact Mrs. T. Baker. 18
members answered the roll call, a
verse from an old reader.
Mrs. Van Donersgoed in-
troduced the guest speaker, a
Special Educational. Teacher for
Huron County.
. Buck gave a talk on the
different programs that are
available right here in Huron
County.
Mrs.Workman thanked Mr.
Buck and presented him with a
gift. Mrs. Strickler read a poem.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Workman, Mrs. L. Knight, and
Mrs. Terpstra.
The Sacrament of Baptism was
observed in Knox Church on
Sunday morning when Jana
Michelle, infant daughter of Mr.
and. Mrs. Bill Henry, Goderich
was baptized by the minister Dr.
Ross Thomson. Jana is a great
granddaughter of the late Rev.
and Mrs. W.A. Williams and her
grandmother Mrs. Stuart McNair
is the former Eluned Williams. A
great aunt, Mrs. Orlie Shaw, the
former Margaret McNair, of
Mount Forest also attended the

Ethel. Cranbrook I presented a
skit "Help I'm Babsitting" and
Cranbrook II presented a skit
"First Aid in Emergency" Donna

Mrs. Jacob Fischer is a. patient in
Stratford Hospital suffering a
fractured hip in Listo;vel, Mrs,
Fischer is a former resident of
Cranbrook and Brussels and the
mother of Stanley Fischer.
Wes .McEachern and son
Winston, Cambridge (Galt) were
at the house here on Saturday.
Mrs. Betty Hirzel and little
daughter Holly, of Fraser,
l'vfich,1 , were calling in the area
on the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson,
and daughters Kathy, Linda and
Anne of London visited Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Engel and family
