10 THE BRUSSELS POST, MAY 17, 1978
People We Know Short Shots
(Continued from Page I).
This week, May 14-20, is
"Police Week", The theme of the
week is 'Working Together to
Prevent Crime". It takes the
co-operation of the Police and the
public to have a safe community
in which to live. We the citizens
the police serve, must have a
greater understanding of our role
and our share of the responsi-
bility. Everyone is invited to visit
any Detachment during "Police
Week". It will be a good
opportunity to get better
acquainted.

Have you been wondering
what to do with all those unused
articles that clutter your cabinet
shelveS, attic and storeroom? It
seems, we have a habit of tucking
away things that we mean to use
sometime in the future but never
do. There they hide away year
after year gathering dust, doing
nobody any good. You hate to just
throw them away. You do not have
to do that this year. Give them to
the Brussels Business Association
for their "Trash 'n Treasure"
Sale during Carnival Days. All
you have to do is dig them out of
their hiding place. The BBA
members will have them picked
up.

In spite of the unseasonably
cold weather we have been
having the spring flowers are
braving the chill and showing
blooms. Aniong the most colour-
ful are tulips. Have you noticed
the ones; in the horticultural
flower bed beside the municipal
office? They are beautiful.
