their imagination, take chances
and above all be enthusiastic.
Preserve the best . in personal,

Mrs. Diamond asked the mem-

The enthusiasm of the dele-

President Mrs. Joseph Beilish of
Warspite, Alta. It was her first
visit to an Officers Conference.
She asked that the W.I. support
ether organizations in topics that
we believe in and thus have more
-weight.
The Women's Institutes across
Canada will be taking part in a
child safety program for the
International Year of the Child in

. The need for better nutrituion
was. the concern of Corinne
Trerice, Executive Director,
Ontario Dietetic Association. She
was alarmed at . the lack of
nutrition education in schools and
-Universitites. Government' cut
backs have limited many worth
while programs and follow-up
studies. Where is the much
needed education on budgeting,
meal preparation, the buying and
'cure of foods, and nutrition which
Should be a priority. Fitness and
exercise is being promoted but .
what of nutrition which is so
vital to well being, she asked.
Miss Trerice was especially
concerned about obesity
. among Canadians and
the alarming consequences. Pre-
natal malnutrition is too common
