Women who arc considering
throwing their hat in the ring and
- running for political - office will
have some help in the future.
The help comes in the form of a
handbook telling women how to
lobby, how to become a political
candidate and even how to be
someone else's compaign
manager.
The step-by•:step book, in the
form of a kit•called,Sharing The
Elmer, was prepared by the
Federal Advisory Council on the
Status of .Women.•
Audrey Shepherd, the council
member who headed the group
which researched the guide, said
she became convinced "a lot of .
women don't understand the
political arena and don't think of
entering it.''
