Gibson, Mrs. Gibson was thanked by Mrs. E, Cudmore and given a gift. The meeting opened with Vice Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dennis and family of Barrie were Easter weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dennis. We are glad to report that Jack Yuill is improving slOwly in hospital. Visitors during the past week with Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Perrie were Geroge McNair of Hamilton, Rev. and Mrs. James Perrie and Paul of Shakespeare and Mrs. Mary Hollinger of Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jamieson and Harold Chapman of Kitchener visited on Sunday with Mrs. Roy Kennedy who returned home during the weekend after Melville Guild Meets The Melville Guild met in the church parlour on March 21 when Marg McCutcheon opened the meeting with a reading, "When you stop to. Think of It." The scripture, read in unison, was . taken from Mark 14, . and was followed by an Easter Prayer Mary Huether introduced the two winners of the public speaking contest, Chris King who spoke on "My Grandfather", and Pamela • Wilson on "South Paws". She presented a message on the Easter story. The President, Marg Krauter presided for business and the roll call was answered with something pertaining to "Easter." Plans were made to cater to a teachers dinner at Community Centre on April 25th and preparations were discussed for a 60th. Wedding Anniversary on April 1st. and for the Oddfellows banquet. CODCO on in Blyth Celebrate the arrival of spring - have a good laugh. Blyth Centre for the Arts is pleased to present CODCO, a comedy troupe from Newfound- land, on Tuesday; April 11, at 8:30 p.m. Blyth Memorial Hall (admission $3.50 for adults). Codco is a company of native Newfoundlanders who present a series of comic sketches on the joys of beLfig a Newfie. Codco is touring Ontario under the sponsorship of the Theatre Passe Muraille. Previous tours . have been received with great enthusiasm by Toronto and Qt= tawsaudiences. The jokes are on politicians, the CBC, Newfoundland itself, food companik (Kraft and Carfipbel- Is).
