A' small conference room in
Goderich was the scene last week
of daily 8-hour training sessions
on energy conservation for six
area residents: Gerry Zurbrigg,
Barb Zettler, Niblock Ian .
Finlayson, Joe Drennan and Bev
Brown. These people are
employees of the new Community
Conservation Centres at Goderich
and Lucknow and their job is to
spread the word on how people
can save money by becoming
energy conscious in their homes,
their cars, at their businesses and

*The Afternoon. Unit of Brussels
11.C.W. met at the home of Miss
Lucas. During the roll call, 121
members reported 16 visitations
for the month, of February. Each
member answered with the title
of "A good book to read."
Mrs. Crocker, vice-president,
opened the service with a verse.
. "So much we have in life for
which we cannot pay." The
devotions were convened by Mrs.
Thomas. Hymn 588, Come Let US
Sing of a Wonderful Love and
388, 0 Master LeeMe Walk with
Thee, were sung during the
service.
The scripture, Matthew 20:
20-28 was read by Mrs. W..
Turnbull. A meditation on the life
of Salome was offered by Mrs.
Thomas. Salome was the mother
on their farms.
Guided by the Project Leader,
Tony McQuail, the group has
familiarized themselves with
various forms of alternative
energy sources arid conservation
practices. They have already
gathered together an impressive
library of books such as The Sun
-Builders, Canadaas a Conserver
Society, Stop the Five Gallon
Flush, Other Homes and
Garbage, The Woodburners
Encyclopedia • and dozens of
others. These will all be available
of James and John. Her life was
one 'of humility and love others,
protrayed through her acts of
kindness and her obedience to
God. Mrs. Thomas led in prayer.
Through reading as well as a
tape recordirig, Miss. Lucas
introduced Winston Brown who is
a native of Jamaica. He is a
graduate of Toronto Theological'
College and' for some years
ministered in the slums ,of
Kingston. At present he serves
the! West Indies people who live
in Toronto. Workshops for
teenagers and evening services
are.held through the U.C. Gospel
Outreach program.
-Mrs. Crocker extended
appreciation to the conveners for
their part in arranging.. the
program.

creators

The Crafty CranbrOokCreators
had their third 4-H Meeting on
February 20. They had three
guest. speakers.
Mrs. Rita Dietner and her
daughter, Cathy,' demonstrated
how to make different crafts.
Mrs. Anne Cooper demonstrated
how to crochet. 4. The meeting
ended with the 4-H motto.
