(Langlois Photo) Bank opening "terrific" Gordon Folkard and Roy Taylor were awarded Gem Award Pins at the dinner meeting of the `Belgrave and, District Kinsmen Club held at Brussels on February 15th. Winner of the Chinese Auction was Allan Bridge. Bill Stephenson reported on a very successful Kinsmen Kids skating party and Murray Black reported on the new members seminar held in Wingham which the Belgrave Club hosted. The members are providing a bingo in Belgrave at the . W.I. Hall on Thursday, Feb. 23rd. Some of the members attended the Plowing Match meeting in Toronto to report on the Club's participation in, the match this fall.' The Club is chartering a bus to • the Farm Show in London on .Tuesday, Feb. 28th and those wishing to go should contact, .members. The Club is planning a . Pork Barbeque in June to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. The Royal Bank's official opening day in Brussels was a "terrific success," with about 420 people attending according to John Sims, assistant bank manager People at the ceremony went through-2,4 dozen doughnuts and over 200 cups of coffee at the bank Carolyn Clifford, bank accountant said. Mr. Sims said the bank was well filled pretty well all day. He added as visitors came in to see the new facilities. The ballot box for the draw was pretty well filled when it was opened. Reeves from'Brussels, Morris, UCW hear about fire insurance Members of the Evening U nit of Brussels U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. Fred Stevenson with 11 members and 3 visitors present. Mrs. Rene Richmond presided and gave a poem on Smile. The devotional was conducted by Mrs Betty Graber and'Mrs. Nelva Scott. The ladies joined together singing Onward Christian ' Soldrers. The Bible reading was given by Nelva. A reading 'All things new and what can one family do" was given by Betty Graber followed by Prayer. Minutes of the last meeting were given by Karen Cardiff and Nelva Scott gave a talk on fire insurance. Mrs. L. Stephenson and Mrs. A. Watson are the conveners of the March meeting. Lunch was served by Florence Webb and Gert Kellington assisted by the hostess. and Grey took part in a ribbbn cutting ceremony. Reeve Bill Elston of Morris and Reeve Roy Williamson of Grey held the ribbon while Brussels reeve Cal Krauter officiated in cutting. Royal Bank Managers from the surrounding area also were in attendance. Mr. Sims said they got more ne bank accounts than usual that 'day. "1 wish it was like that every day," he said.
