The 9 a.m. draw was won by Gerald Smith and 'his rink, of Marg. and Bruce Coleman and Nancy Smith. They had three wins and plus of eight. Wilma Rathwell replaced Nancy - in 3rd. game. Second was asink of Albert Ten ,Pas skip, Mary Ten Pas' vice, Gerald Dillow, second and Marg Dillow lead. Dan Pearson, Rosemary Wheeler, Dave Wheeler and Mary Jane Pearson • won third prize and consolation went to Stewart Steiss, Madeline Steiss, Jim Patterson and Betty Cardiff. The 11 p.m. draw and overall trophy was won by Ross Veitch, skip, Nora Stephenson, Vice, Orval Bauer, 2nd. and Donelda Pearson lead. They had three wins and' plus of nine. Second Was Scott McLean and his rink Lois McLean, vice, Ron McLean, second and Doris McLean, lead. Third was Torn and Betty Moore and Jim and ' Intermediates win and tte On Tuesday night the home team were hosts to Clinton in a good game of hockey.They managed to stay one goal ahead of the opposition throughout the game and won it 5 -4. Bob McDonald. led the home team scoring 3 goals. The other 2 goals ware scored by Roger Humphires and Glen Warwick. Assists went to RichMcDonald, Ian McLellan, Jerry Wheeler, Glen Warwick. On Sunday nighrthey were at home to Mitchell. At the end of ., the first period of hockey, it was Mitchell 2, Brussels 1. Only 1 goal was scored in the second period by Mitchell. Mitchell scored one goal and Brussels two early in the third period making the 'score 5 • - 3. With Mitchell scoring one more goal Brussels 'ame to score two more goals. Murray Lowe proved to be the , inro scoring the tieing goal and tile winning goal with assists from Glen Warwick and Ian McLel- land. Other goal scorers were Brian Workman with 2 gcials, Bob and Bridge and Ian McLellan each. Assists went to John McDonald, Brian workman, Brian Sanderson, Glen Warwick and Ian McLellan. That was the last home game currently scheduled for the local squad. There will be a couple Of cancelled games worked in when ice is available .before playoffs start. Maybe by then we will 'haver these felloWs convinced they should be wearing face masks. There have been a lot of injuries to the eye area reqUiring numerous stitches plus the loss of a few teeth. It would be a great investment if it prevented the loss Of your eyesight. Keep Up the good work fellows. May your wins continue: OPP Reports During the week, there were seven motor vehicle collisions. which, caused an estimated '$7550, in property damage and. injuries to two persons, On Thursday, February 2, James R., Sleightholtn of Brussels, who was driving an. Arctic Cat and , Murray J. Cox, also of R,R,3, Brussels, who. was •. driving a Polaris hit head on on County Road #16, east of County Road #19, Grey Township.
