Separate Board to meet parents'.
The annual meeting of Huron
Presbyterial of the Women's
Missionary Society of the Presby-
terian Church in Canada was held
at Firsi Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth last Wednesday. The
president, Mrs. Elmer Rivers, of
Seaforth, ' was in charge and
Welcomed the delegates and
visitors. She opened with Robbie
Burns poem--A man's that for
all that--followed by prayer.
Hensall Ladies were in charge
of the devotional period with Mrs.
Harvey Hyde reading the
scripture lesson and the theme of
her meditation was--We have a
purpose in Life. Mrs. Malcolm
Dougall of Exeter closed with
prayer.
Mrs. Mel Rennie of Seaforth
was pianist. 'The minutes of the
previous meeting were accepted
as read by the 'secretary, .Mrs.
James McDonald, Seaforth.
TheHamilton-London. Synodical
will be held this year at
Leamington. Mrs. Robert
McAllister - and Mrs. Clayton
Edwards will be the delegates.
The spring rally will be held in
Hensall on May 10 with a
missionary on furlough to speak if
possible.
The secretary for Adult groups,
Mrs. Clayton Edwards of
Goderich gave a detailed account
of all the groups in Huron
Presbyterial and stressed that
postal codes be included with the
addresses of officers.
Youth and C.G.I.T. reports
were given by Mrs. Eleanor
Bradnock, Auburn. Associate
Members, Mrs. Harvey Hyde,
Hensail, Friendship and Service,
Mrs. Charles Kalbfleisch, Varna;
Literature, Mrs. Rochus Faber,
Kippen; Supply, Miss Jean Scott;
Life membership, Mrs.. Joe
Dunbar, Belgrave and Historian,
Miss 'Belle Campbell, Seaforth.
Children's groups, Mrs. Gordon

The treasurer, Mrs. G. G.
'MacEwan of Goderich gave the
financial statement stating that
Huron Presbyterial had over
:subscribed financially to their
allocation -and she congratulated
ill Societies on their generous
givings for Missions. She gave
out the estimates for each Society
for the coming year.
Mrs. Gordon Kaitting,
Goderich, took charge of the
election of officers and Mrs.
Gordon Henderson, Goderich,
was appointed secretary. Mrs.
Kaitting also installed the officers
for 1978 for Huron Presbyterial.

Information meetings will be
held at three schools for
interested parents, ratepayers
and teachers on declining enrol-
ments, The meetings will be held
at St, Columban School on
February 6 at 8 p.m.; St. Patrick's
School, Dublin on February 7 at 8
p.ni. and at. St. Michael's School,
Schwalm, Hensall; Literature--

Meetings will be set up in other
areas at a later date.
All ,school boards in the
province are urged not to offer
positions prior to April 1, 1978, to
potential graduates of training
schools in order that their
programs will be substantially
completed and that the evaluation
of teachers in training be done.
The memorandum with this
request came from the presidents
of the Ontario Association of
Education Administrative
Officials and the Ontario
Teachers' Federation.
In response to a public request
from the Perth County Board of
Education inviting written
submissions concerning the goals
of religious and moral education
programs in the school's in Perth,,
the board members were
' interested in religious education
in the schools and will respond to
the Perth Board. •
The Ontario English Catholic
Teachers' Association reported
the finals in public speaking in
the schools will be held at St.
Patrick's School, Dublin, on
March 9 at 7 p,m,
The board will not transfer its
bank account from the Se;aforth
branch of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce to the Dublin.

Catholic Trustees' Association,
$127.28; Ontario School Trustees'
Council, $1,157.00 for a total of
$4,685.23.
