BROKEN WATERPIPE — A hole in the water pipe
resulted in water being shut off and disconnected
telephones in Brussels after Bell Canada told village
employees the wrong place to dig to repair the water
main.and they cut through the telephone line. •

The pipe had broken on
Wednesday night. Village
employees were working on the
pipe on Thursday when they lout
cut the telephone line.
Water was shut off for about
three or four hours and came back
on about five o'clock on Thursday
night, according to Mr. King.
"Water was shut off and some
telephones in Brussels were
disconnected Thursday after
village employees were given the
wrong location by Bell. Canada to

and cut the telephone line,
according to village clerk Bill
King.

Mr. Lyndon also explained the
rating • system for prospective
tenants. They're all point rated on
a home visit. If a vacancy exists
they start with the one with• the
most points and-go down the list
till they fill the vacancy.
He added that fofeach year a
person is on a waiting list they
add three points to that person's
rating so that person gets pushed
up a bit in the waiting list.
Mr. Lyndon told the three
councils what they decided to do
was up to them.
"We're tyring to get, it a little
bit easier for Huron County," he
said adding that decisions had to
go befo're the county council. For
