'The sweet lingering remem, brances of fleeting moments, and golden drops of burning passion. Love is the most beautiful thing in the world. The most essential. Love melts a caged and frozen heart. It makes you laugh and sparkles your eyes with the glitter of. Joy. It makes you cry, and wrenches your heart into tearfttl fragments. When a child is born, it thrives on lave' Love fills its small dark world, and soft caresses soothe its lonely whimpers. It seems to be that we cannot survive without the warmth of love. Love is so stram.c, and so utterly une Someiimes it's deep inside of us, and we aren't even aware that it's there. .And then, all of a sudden, like a sudden burst of sunshine, you are struck by the miraculous reali- zation that you are in love! Love is funny. Two fourteen year olds on their first date, awkwardly holding hands, shyly stealing furtive glances, clumsily trying to kiss each other goodnight, noses bumping, lips getting twisted and in the way. But love is gentle, tolerant, and beautiful. Love is not always shown in the things we say. Sometimes the things we do express our emotions much better than words ever could. To give emphasis to their feelings, expressed or unexpressed, people are always doing coinciding things. Whether the results arc • positive or negative, has little bearing to the tact that this relation never ceases to exist. And yet, beautiful as love is, there arc always the people that exist on putting it in a different category, deliberately misunder- standing it, or misinterpreting it. Love is all too frequently used as a futile excuse for premarital sex. "Well...1 loved him!" a olish unwed mother exclaintA Freevishly. Love has nothing to do with all the immature, lustful, intimacies that end up in irreversible problems. It is the farthest thing from a person's . mind when they say selfishly, "If you love me. you"d do it." That is the most childish,• inconsiderate, stupid excuse that has ever been invented. Love is sacred, toughing hearts deeply, and,. knowing this, callous, greedy. people manipulate this emotion for their own pleasure, ignoring the feelings of the other person. People are so. loveless, so greedy, wanting and taldng. Love is generous. LOve is giving. The public is constantly demanding the essence of love, or their interpretation of love, in everything,. Flirtatious, suggestive,. lyrics moan on the radio. Vutgar magaz i nes dominate the literature stands and openly publicize their filth. Television shows, such as soap operas ; are disgusting. "Soap" is. A prime example of something that should be shoved in a hole and covered up. The tWo examples of loVe,trite, pure and the disgusting : deliberate wrong conception' of love-will exist Until.. the end of time, afidlsincerely hope that the loftier will succeed.
