Ken and June Webster
Webster's open store
Since coming to ,Brussels Ken
has become deeply involved in
the village activities through the
Brussels Business Association.
As President of the BRA. he feels
the opportunity for business in
Brussels ."is quite rosey" and
the BRA expects a drug store to
' open in about 3 months and the
Ken and June Webster are no
strangers to Brussels or Huron.
County. Both are originally from.
Lucknow and moved back to
Huron in June of 1975 when they
purchased the Texan Grill in
Brussels. Prior to this the family
of 6 resided in London where Ken
was a driver salesman at
Silverwoods for 28 years.
Royal Bank office this week.
Ken feels the prime aim of the
BBA is to' attract industry to
Brussels, preferably a manufac-
turer that will employ 40 to 50
people on a long term basis. "The
fact that Brussels could be a
farming and industrial trade
centre is proven by numbers of
readers subscribing to the
Brussels POst and by a college
survey done for the Bank before
coming 'to Brussels" says Mr.
Webster.
June Webster says "People are
very responsive to new business
ventures in Brussels, 'People's
patience in waiting for our stock
was fantastic."
J. & K. Shoes, located in the
former . Legion building on
Brussels' main street, was
opened by the Websters because
theie was no shoe store . in the
Village. The store not only carries
a complete line of family footwear
but also a large stock of
Bluejeans, tee shirts and western
shirts. The store will be open
regular business hours as
established by the 'BBA.
Both Ken and June Webster
will serve you in the store and say
if they haven't got what you want
they'll get it if possible. Ken and
June want to, thank the people of
Brussels for their response and
look forward to their future in
Brussels.
