The third annual fall rally of the
Women's Missionary Society,
was held in St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church in
Wingham. The meeting opened
with a Sing Along-- the theme
chorus, composed 'by Mrs. Don
Robertson of Kinlough, and led
by Mrs. Marion Mundell.
The call to worship was given
by Mrs. Ross Cumming followed
by greetings by 'Mrs. Mary
Campbell. Devotions were in
charge of the Kincardine group;
Scripture by Mrs. 0. Taylor,
meditations by Mrs. Robertson
and prayer by Mrs. G. Turner.
Mrs. Ewan MacLean read the '
minutes and called the roll. The
treasurer's report was given by
Mrs. Evan Keith..
The double trio of Wingham
Presbyterian Church, sang. Mrs.
Don Gillies of Ripley introduced
the guest speaker, Miss Mary
Whale, secretary for Mission
Personnel of the Board of World
Mission and Associate Secretary
for Overseas Missions of the
Presbyterian Church of Canada.
She spoke on Overseas Missions
and appointments, procedures of
appointments and the need for
missionaries. Mrs. Don
MacDonald thanked Mrs. Whale
and presented her with a gift.
The offering was collected by
Mrs. Felker and Mrs. MacDonald
of Molesworth and Mrs, Ena
Ritchie and Mrs. MacKay of
Wingham, followed by offertory •
prayer by Mrs. Frank Bennett.
Courtesies were given by Mrs,
James West of AShfield. After the
closing hymn • Mrs, Robert
Bregman of Teeswater
pronounced the benediction.
The theme was Marching on,

Skits coupled with both
demonstrations and lectures
highlighted a 'stewardship
presentation on Staturday at the
upper Thames Elementary- school
in Mitchell sponsored by the
Korot' Perth Presbytery of the
United Church of Canada.
Advertised as "Come to The
Fair" the event was set up like a
fair with booths and exhibits in
the school gymnasium relating. to
the theme of the church's
program. Rev.John Oestreichei
of Clinton, chairman of the
presbytery, officially opened the
fair, and a skit was presented by
Mr. and Mr. John Patterson of
Palmerston, assisted by Mrs.
Clara Galway of Listowel, Mr;.
Cora Thistle of Stratford and Rev.
Robert Roberts of Egmondville.
Parable of the Tips and Tithes
During the past week OPP at
Wingham detachment conducted
twenty seven investigations.
Ten charges were laid under
the Highway Traffic Act with
twenty warnings issued.
One charge was laid under the
Liquor Licence Act.

Dr. Anson Moorhouse,
president of the London
Conference, and former head of
the church's audio-visual section,
and Mrs. Moorhouse, a noted
photographer, presented a three-
screen film and slide presesnta-
tion to highlight the fair.

Raym9nd Smith of ICitchenef.
Rev. William McCosh of London,
chairman of the London Confer-
ence stewardship committee,
assisted by Ralph Hopper of
Stra tford, discussed financial
planning in their booth.
The booth, Glow-Ball Gems,
took a look at World Outreach
with Rev. Cli ff Campbell and
Glenda Dickison. Mr. Campbell
Seven charges were laid under
the Criminal Code of Canada.
During the week, there were
four motor vehicle collisions
which caused an estimated
$3500.00 in property damage and
injuries to one person.

Dyk of KR 3, Walton was involved
in a single car accident on
Concession 7-8, 1 mile west of
couty road #12, Morris. Township
when the vehicle he was driving
entered the south ditch and struck
a tree stump. Mr. Dyk was
injured as a result of the accident.
