Jennie, McGrattOn was honoured by her family at a Birthday Party in the •auditorium on Sundy afternoon. • Mrs. Lyle Storey, of Seaforth, arranged and introduced the program for "Family Night". The feature of the program was the Junior Cross County Squares who danced two changes and they include eight boys and girls ranging in age from five ' to eight. Marie Flynn, Nelson Howe and Harold Black accompanied the dancers and singers. There were vocal numbers by Marie Flynn, Donna McIlwain, Debbie and Dawn Flynn. Mrs. Leybo, urne thanked the entertainers on behalf of the residents. ' Twenty residents attended the matinee "See How They Run" at the Huron County Playhouse at Grand Bend on Wednesday. The residents enjoyed piano music in three different areas on Thursday afternoon played by Ed. Stiles, Jake Roorda and Ethel Hill. During this month, an enumerator, carrying a proper identification card, will call at your residence for a few minutes to check basic information required in determining: • the allocation of education property taxes between the public and separate school systems; • the distribution of provincial grants to local governments to help reduce local tax bills; • the preparation of jurors' lists; and • population information needed for other municipal programs. The enumerator must record such information as the name, age, property status [e.g. owner ortenanth school support and residenOy of all members Of the household. When ,the enumerator •visitS, please check that the information on the Enumeration Notice is correct. If it not, revise, it and verify the changes If you are not home, a Notice will be left for you. Special musical renditions were, a' solo "The Lord's Prayer" by Robert Stoner of Blenheim accompanied by Brenda Johnston, and two' duets "I Will Sing the Wondrous Story" and "In the Garden" by Brenda Johnston and Robert Stoner with Mts. George Johnston accompanist. Personals Mrs. Marjorie Hartleib and Mrg. Christine :Beck attended the Spinning Course, last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Kerr. Mrs. Laura Johnston and Mrs. Lois Warwick spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. George M. Johnston and Tara of Ilderton. Mr. Kenneth Davis of Stratford spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. William Coultes. Mr. and Mrs. John Spivey of Ingersoll visited on Saturday with her mother Mrs., Harold Procter and with her father Harold Procr,er who is a patient in Wingham and District Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Roy McSween and Gary, Mrs. Cliff Logan returned home last Tuesday, from their trip to the East Coast. While there they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vincent and Patrick of Riverview, New Brunswick. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Logan . of New Westminster , B.C. will be sorry to hear that he has suffered a slight stroke. On Friday evening Mr. and Mrs.. Leslie Bolt accompanied John Nixon to the Haliburton area. Sattirday they motored home, bringing with therm Steven and Randy Nixon who had attended for two weeks the "Haliburton Hockey Haven", a sports camp located in the Haliburton vicinity. Mrs. Marjorie Hartleib attended the funeral of her cousin Mrs. Beatrice Heinz of Kitchener recently. Mrs. Marjorie Hartleib and Kitty, Joanne Coultes were recent visitors at Midland for a few days. Sandia, Lisa, -Dianne and Douglas. Campbell. of Winthrop are holidaying with their grandparents Mr. and. Mrs. Robert Hibberd. • Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Smithson of Downsview were dinner guests of Mrs. Stewart Procter on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Moore were honoured guests•on August 21st' when relatives and friends helped them celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
