JAMES CLIFFORD SPROUL.
The death of James Clifford
Sproul, retired farmer, of Ethel,
took place in Listowel Memorial
HospitaLon Tuesday, August 9.
He was 69 years of age.
Born in West Wawanosh
Township, on. October 30, 1907,
he was the son of the late James
Sproul and Margaret Mason.
He married Olive Godfrey, who
survives, at Victoria United
Chill-eh Parsonage, Goderich, on'
November 10, 1943. The couple
farmed in West Wawanosh
Township until moving to the
Listowel area in 1963, retiring in
1971.
He was an adherent of the.
Brussels United Church.'
He is survived by his wife, six
sons and one daughter. James, of
Stratford; Brian, Steven and
Michael, all of Kitchener;
Terry of Ethel; mark and Peggy at
home; seven grandchildren; two
sisters and four brothers; David,
Harvey and Joseph of
Dungannon; William of
Cooksville; Myrtle (Mrs. Bern
Mugford), Lucan; Mrs. Murray
Garniss of Willowdale.
One brother, Elmer of Auburn
and one sister, Lillian (Mrs:
Charles McNee),R.R. 3, Auburn,
predeceased him.
Funeral service was held at the
Stiles Funeral Home, Goderich on
Friday, August '12 at 2:00 p.m,
' Rev. Eric LeDrew of Brussels
United Church was the officiating
minister.
Interment took place in.
Dungannon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his six sons.
Flowerbearers were: Jim aid
'Charles. Mugford, Ed and Rick
Godfrey.
WALLACE AGAR
A retired Morris Township
farmer; Wallace Agar, died.
Saturday, August 6, at the
Wmgham and District. Hospital
following a brief illness. He was
in his 83rd year.
Mr. Agar was born and
educated in Morris Township, a
son of the late David' Agar and
Ada Fell. Following his marriage
to Freda Jane Turvey in Bluevale
on Nov. 21, 1923, they farmed in
Morris Township until retiring in
1959 and moving toWingham. At
the time of hisdeath, they resided
at 258 Edward Street. He was a
member of the Wingham United'
.Church.
Surviving, besides his wife, are
four daughters, Mrs, Charles
(Leila) Hay, Hensall, Mrs,
Anthony (Shirley) Field,
Mississauga, Mrs. Chester
(Wilda) Higgins, Brussels, and
Mrs. Bruce (Velma) Hays,
Wroxeter. There are two
granddaughters , seven
grandsons and one great grand-
son. Also surviving is one
brother, Fred Agar " of
Killlainey, Manitoba. He was
predeceased by three brothers
and three sisters.
The late Wallace Agar rested at
the S.J.Walker Funeral Home
until Monday when 'service was
conducted at two o'clock by Rev.
Barry Passmore. Interment
followed in Wingham. Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Earl Sellers,
Glen. Sellers, Ross Turvey, Denis
Langridge, Allan Nicholson and
Charles Bosman. Murray Hays,
Donald Higgins and John Turvey
carried floral tributes..

Mrs. Harold Sellers, 74, of 0
Seaforth died Saturday, at the
•Seaforth COmmtmity Hospital.
She was the former Hilda.
Harris. of Walton. 'She was
predeceased by her husband
Harold, in 1954,
Surviving area daughter, Mrs.
Herbert (Mildred) Traviss, of
Walt9n) a sister, Mrs. Armand
,(Flora) kernick; of Lucan; two
grandchildren, Mrs. Ken (Gail)
,Moffett, of 612 Devon St.,
,Stratford, Dr. Brian Travis, of
Waterloo, and two great
grandchildren, Allison and Lesley
Travis. She was predeceased by a
sister, Mrs. Eldon (Lena)
McGavin.
The body was at the Whitney
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth
where the funeral service was
held Monday afternoon with Rev.
F.dwa."`rd Baker of Walton United
Church officiating. Burial
followed in Briissels Cemetery
when the pallbearers were: Art
Wiles, Norman, Young, Ron
Bennett, Dr. Clayton Sellers,
Wilmot. McGavin, Robert Taylor.
Flowerbearers were Ross
Bennett, Ralph Travis, Howard
Hackwell, Bill Kuntz.

of Bethel Church, now Duff's

Monday with Dr. Gordon Hazel•
wood, formerly of Walton,
officiating. Burial followed in
Brussels cemetery;

Elmer 'Dennis and Robert
McMichael.
