Zurich _defeated t Lucan team. (Staff Phot Arva defeated Ripley 2.0, Sunday to win championship honours in the Brussels Invitational Men's Softball tournament held over the week- end. Lucan defeated Goderich 3-1 to win the consolation championship. This year's tournament saw 24 teams competing in a total of 34 games. 27 games were played in Brussels and another eight games were played at the Walton Ball Park. As the time draws near for the historic confrontation between Brussefs and Jamestown Oldie- Mouldies, August 13 and 14, more news has leliked out from both camps. From the J-town centre, it seern§ that Alex Shaw, president of the Jamestown. Ball Club, differs with .coach Max about training methods. Alex thinks a good way to get in shape would be for the team to help with the threshing, while Max says gathering eggs is awfully good for the legs.
