at a four day Conference which
brought together medical experts
from all over the world, nine
countries in all from Ireland to '
New Zealand.

During the week July 11 - 17,
officers at the Wiingharn OPP
Detachment conducted 31
investigations.
44 charges we're laid under the
'highway traffic act with 26
warnings issued.
Seven charges were laid under
the Liquor Licence Act.
Three charges were laid under
the criminal code.
During the week, there were
three motor vehicle collisions
which caused a n estimated
$4,000,00 in property damage and
injuries to two persons.
On Thursday, July 14, Roderick
C. McKay of R.R.2, Winghain
received minor injuries-as a result
of a single car accident on
Highway #4,$ north of the C.P.R.
,spur line crossing, furnberry
Township. Mr. McKay was
northbound on Highway #4. As he
started around a curve, his gas
pedal , stuck. His vehicle entered
the west ditch, through a fence
and struck a hydro pole,
On Sunday, July 17, Ruby H,
Aylward of Ingersoll, Ontario -
received minor-injuries as a result
of a single car accident on
Highway 4, south of the Maitland
River Bridge, Morris Township
whertthe vehicle she was driving
left the left side otthe roadway
and struck a fence post.

Pediatrics at the University
Hospitals of Cleveland, cited
specific examples in various parts
of the globe , where babies owe
their lives to human milk. "In,
1971 and :72 almost 50% of
premature babies who developed
diarrhea in sections of Ar:gentina
were dying from the affliction"
Dr. Klaus stated. "In 1973 a--
system was implemented
whereby milk from mothers of
full-term babies was sulylied to
the premier at a teaspoon ca

Bonding told the 6th International
Conference of La Leche League
International in Toronto on
WITH THE KIDS Few parents go off to big city
conventions and take their small children along. The
La Leche League, meeting in Toronto last week, with
its family centred philosophy is an exception, Janis
•Bisback who attended, says many many children
accompanied their mothers, and in some cases,
fathers. She reports a lot of interest in the League in
Huron with mothers drivirig from the northern part
of the county to meetings in Exeter.
