CONSTRUCTION IN WALTON There's been a lot of activity in Walton recently
with work on Grey Township's new $68,000 MacDonald drain. Traffic was to be
detoured around the railway crossing in the village as the drain passed
under County Road 12. Working on the drain, which also goes into McKillop
andMorris are Tony Schlosser and Tom and John Inglis, of Inglis Construction,
Luck now.
Optimists, Lions hold tourney
Morningstar Rebekah Lodge
held a- very enjoyable. picnic

Members bad a lovely warm
day, an excellent lunch and a few
good games with prizes.

Sisters celebrating birthdays, this
week. Anne Thynne, Iniz
Cameron and Annie Gemmel.
Annie :Baker who celebrated her
80th birthday this week was
unable to attend the picnic and

her later in the evening.

the Optimists have been
unbeatable sb far this year.
They beat the Lions so bad last
' month the Lions are now looking
for recruits for 'a return match.

The Optimists held' th'eir
steak barbeque on Saturday night •
at Don and Marilyn McDonald's.
'About 35 people attended.
Chefs were the world famous
