Well here's more refreshing, to be historic (or was that
up-to-date news abont that soon Pre-Historic) confrontation
between the Jamestown and
Brussels cane-shakers.,
Rumor has it that
Max Demaray, skipper of the
Jamestown crew, has a few Top
Secret plays he'll be springing on
his opponents.
From a very reliable source, it
was learned that "Wily" Ole Max
is thinking of using fleet-footed Al
"Lou Brock" Breckenbrdige as
his designated runner to
substitute for some of his slower
players, such as those club-footed
Gowing boys.
In the other camp, where, the
author also has a rented ear, it is
being bantered about that
"Tricky Ted" will move the bases
closer together when the J-.Boys
come to bat..
He seems to think that the
years have really taken their toll
on his opposition and he doesn't
want their wheelchairs to blow a
tire before they reach base.
Stay tuned for more info as the
plot thickens 'and keep these
dates in mind, August 13th &
14th for Oldtimers' Baseball,
Tricount y style.
