Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse
Mrs. James Hunter was the
convener for the W.I. Family and
Consumer Affairs meeting June
28.
The three Belgrave 4-H
Homemaking Clubs attended,
with their leaders. The Belgrave
111 Club, whose leaders are Mrs.
Robert Gordon and Mrs. James
Bakelaar, had their exhibit "Trim
with Imagination" on display and
Janice Coultes and Doreen Taylor
commented on it, suggesting
different kinds of trim to put on
leisure wear.
Belgrave 11 and Belgrave 1
clubs, whose leaders are Mrs.
Richard Moore and Mrs. Peter
Chandler, Mrs. James Hunter
and Mrs. Mac Scott, each
provided a fashion show display-'
ing their leisure garments,
completed in the 4-H course.
Their garments were very
attractive and the girls are to be
congratulated on their achieve-
ment. The Belgrave W.I. is
grateful to the 4-H Club Leaders
for the time and interest shown in
these young ladies:
Mrs. James Hunter read a
humorous poem "Paw's Restful
Day." The report of the District
Annual in Clinton was read by
Mrs. Sara Anderson. The roll call
"How to Stop a Salesman" was
answered by the members giving
The theme of the Afternoon
Unit of the Belgrave U.C.W.
meeting was "As we have
therefore opportunity, let us do
good unto all men." .
Mrs. Coultes opened the
meeting with the hymn "Lord
speak to me that I may speak."
Mrs. Willard Armstrong read
minutes.
Mrs. Hibberd is to be in charge
of sending out the cards to the
sick and shut-ins. Mrs. Coultes
was in charge of the Bible study, '
"Missioners of the King."

son read scripture passages
relating to the sending out of the .
disciples.

Treasurer for the Foster Child
and also pay District Annual
Expenses. There will not be a
July meeting.
The August meeting will be
held August 18 when members
and friends wishing to go to Blyth
Summer Festival to see A
Summer Burning, should be at
W.I. Hall at 7:15 to go in cars.
Anyone who wants tickets for this
play should contact Mrs. Clarence
Hanna in the near future.
Mrs. Ivan Wightman discussed
the buying of badges and material
for W.I. members' outfits to be
worn at the Ploughing Match in
1978. Lunch was served by Mrs.
Norman and Mrs. Peter
Campbell.

enjoyed a bus trip to New Tribes
Mission Camp at Durham from
Wingham Baptist church on
Friday, July 1. -
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hibberd
attended the 25th wedding
anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Brown formerly of Fordwich in
the John Diefenbaker School,
Hanover on Saturday afternoon.
Some relatives and friends of
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler
had a surprise party last

times to the present. Mrs.
William Fenton read a paper on
today's Indian children.
.There will be a birthday party
on August 9 at 2 p.m. in the
Sunday School room for all who
have celebrated their 80th birth-
day. Friends and relatives are
invited to attend this party. The
meeting closed with prayer by
Mrs. Cecil Coultes.

Miss Marni Walsh received
word that she passed her Histery.
of Music, Grade 9 with the Royal
Conservatory of Music with First
Class Honours award of 92. Marni
is a student of Mrs. Shirley

Miss Rosemarie White left on
Saturday for Conestoga Bible
Camp for 6 weeks where she will
be counselling young children.
Ruth Ann White is accompanying
her sister Rosemarie for a month.
Mr. and Mrs. William Black
returned home last Tuesday after
attending the wedding of their
son Tom Black to Connie Kue of
Rose Valley, Saskatchewan on
Saturday, June 25 in . the Rose
Valley United Church. Other
guests from this area attending
were Mrs. Gordon Riley and
Jodie of Dungannon; Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Cook; Miss Barbara'''.

Herson Irwin, who has moved to
