Hewitt of Atwood attended the Bremner reunion near Bright. The Cunningham Reunion was held on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cunningham. People attending were from London, Waterloo, Clifford, Elmira, Moorefield, Listowel, Walton and Brussels. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Grube and Geo and Debbie were with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bray on the weekend at the cottage. Ball score for Monday evening June 27th was Ethel-3.4 and Winthrop-20. Mrs. Pestell posses' Mrs. James Pestell(former Rhea McItelland) pasSed away Sunday June 19th in Stratford Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Her early years started in Paisley, but most of her life was spent in Ethel district. She graduated from Teacher's College, Stratford. She- taught school and in.later years as supply teacher. She was very active in church and community work. She married James Pestell in Kirkland Lake and then lived on a farm on the 9th Con of Grey. for many years before moving about six years ago to Mitchell. The 'Market at Brussels Stockyards on Friday was active with all classes of livestock selli ng higher except cows which traded $1.00 lower. There wee 637 cattle and 1584 pigs of offer. Choice Steers - 42.50 to, 43.50. Good Steers - 40.00 to 42.00. Sixty-three steers consigned by Henry Farms of Blyth averaging_ 1076 lbs. sold at an overall price of 43.00 with their top lot averaging 1062 lbs. selling for 43.40. Fourteen steers consigned by Gerald Heuhn of R.R.1, Neustadt averaging 1137 lbs. sold for 42.70. Six steers consigned by Robin Thompson of R.R,2, Clinton averaging 1123 lbs. sold for 42.75. Twelve steers consigned by Carl Sherwood of R.R.5, Goderich averaging 1221 lbs, sold for 42.60. Choice Heifers - 38.00 to 40.00. Good Heifers - 36.00 to 38.0. Choice Cows - 26.00 to 27.00 with sales to 27.75. Good Cows - 24.00 to 26.00. Bulls traded to a high of 34.25. 30 to 40-1b. pigs traded to a high of 38.00. 40 to 50 lb. pigs to ahigh of 43.25. 50 to 60 lb. pigs to a high of 51.00. She is survived by her husband, James, one daughter (Ann) Mrg. William Bremner of Oakville; one son, Donald, of\New Hamburg; one gran daughter and three grandsons. Funeral was held'Tuesday from death-Leslie Funeral Home, Mitchell ,. Rev. Deas officiated. Pallbearers were Stirling Hood, . Jack Conley, Geo Pearson, Norman Baier, Dave McLeod and - Murray Nichol.
