Patrons are invited to share in the opening celebrations with the staff and company of the Festival. A hot turkey supper will .be served at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Blyth Memorial Hall at a cost of $4.50 a person. Reservations can be made for the dinner at the Festival box office. Square Dancing to the music of the Festival musicians after the performance will complete the evening. The second play of the season opens on Monday, July 4th. The Blood is. Strong, which played• to packed houses last season, has been brought back due to popular demand. The play features traditional Scottish melodies. A Summer Burning and The Blood is Strong will alternate performances until July 9, and will return periodically through- out the season. Tickets and OPP issues 44 warnings Twenty nine charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act. Forty four warnings were issued. One charge was laid under the. Liquor Licence Act. During the week, there were- five motor vehicle collisions which caused an estimated $4200.00 in property damage and injuries to two persons. On Thursday, June 22, Susan A. Langlois of Brussels and James R. Boyle of Clinton were involved in a collision on Queen Street, north of County Road 25, Blyth. James R. Boyle and. Monica T.
