He was ihvited , speak at 9 p.m. but was/kept waiting along with the press representative until 9:50 p.m. while the board met in committee of the whole having started at 8 pm. Mr. Gladding said his initial preparation of a basic curriculum, with input from administration, was made to a committee of teachers and the religion consultants who made a number of changes, additions and deletions. Then it was taken to a committee of parents who epresented the two .ounties. They made more ;hanges. Then it was presented to he priests of the deanery who also made changes and gave their moral support of the curriculum. The board tabled the report for the next meeting to give themselves time to study it before giving final approval. The following teachers were hired, commencing duties September 1: Corey E. Correspohdent Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse Win Bed Race Prizes Belgrave Hi-C organized a Bed Race which, was run off at the East Wawanosh Public School, on Saturday, June 1 Rh , with a large attendance. There were n ine entries with two trophies presented. One trophy was won by a group called Belgrave Bratts consisting of Larry Robinson, Cam Cook, Kevin Pletch, Ron Loutitt and Grant Vincent. The other trophy was won by the Blyth Leo's. Made-up trophies were presented to the groups who had the best designed costumes which includes construction of bed and also who had completed race in shortest time. Mrs. Lynda Lentz and George Cull judged the bed which were in, two categories - Youth groups and Belgrave groups. Belgrave Bratts won for the best design in the Belgrave Category a* Belgrave Hi-C had best designin: the Youth groups, E'a 'se wawanosh Public School *the best time for the Belgretve, groups and Blyth' Leo's for the Youth, Groups.
