Rev. H.J,Laragh gave the Public Relations committee report. He was named chairman of the committee following the death of the late Alice McConnell. Father Laragh said she was "a very fine and dedicated person who will be greatly missed." John Longstaff reported. for the Finance Committee. He said the Ministry of Health, has changed the fiscal year for all hospitals in the province to coincide with the proVincial government's year end. The fiscal year will run from April 1 to March 31, except for this year, which extends from January 1 to March 31 of 1978, a period of 15 months. A highlight of the meeting was the presesntation of a plaque to the hospital, on behalf • of the Ontario Hospital Association. Ross E. Hahn, Airector of the Association presented the plaque in recognition ,of the 50 years , from 1925 to, 1975, ,that the Seaforth Hospital has been a member of the body. Mr. Hahn thanked the board for its support during those 50 years. James M. Scott, a member-,of the board since 1945, and Andrew Y. McLean, a member since 1947, , accepted the plaque on behalf of the board. 50 YEARS IN OHA — A plaque commemorating 50 years membership in the Ontario Hospital Association was presented Seaforth Community Hospital at its annual meeting last week.The presentation Was made by Ross Hahn of Waterloo, Chairman of the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital and a vice president of the OHA.
