Until July, patrons can buy books of six vouchers for the price of five shows. The vouchers can be used for any show throughout the season, providing reservations are made in advance. The books cost $18.00 for adults, $15.00 for senior citizens, and $13.00 for children and are available from the Festival box office and other ticket outlets. James Roy, artistic director of the Blyth Summer Fest ival has been joined this year by newcomers Donna Lebo as administrative director and Brenda Doner as publicity director. Veterans Anne Roy and Jim Schaefer as associate directors and Joe Miller as music director complete the adminis- ative staff of the Festival. Mr. Roy and his wife, Anne, come to the Festival fresh from a winter spent studying and working in a regional theatre in England. The trip was sponsored by a grant from Theatre Ontario. Jim Schaefer and Joe Miller have spent the year in the Blyth area. Mr. Schaefer has been writing the Blyth Memorial History Show, to be.premiered by the Festival this year, and Mr. Miller has been composing music for this show,4 Donna Lebo, Festival administrastor, is the recipient of 1 M.B.A. from York University and was granted the William Wy lie Award for 1976. A number of suggestions from the suggestion boxes placed in BBA member stores were discussed at the meeting. Mr. Webster said the Association has received 14 suggestions in the past two monhts, and that of those 14, five have been serious and worthy of careful consider- ation by the BBA. A suggestion that a drugstore is needed in the village has prompted the BBA to send letters to pharmacists asking if one of them would be interested in locating in the village. A similar suggestion about an implement dealer for the area hasalso been acted upon ) Mr. Webster said. It has also been suggested that the BBA encourage another bank to /locate in the villate, he said, and the BBA is making enquiries on the matter. Mr. Webster said the BBA is also hoping to organize a rodeo this year, said the Association has approached the Maitland Valley Saddle Club with the proposal. Mr. Webster said the BBA hopes a rodeo can be organized using local talent. "There's a lot more enthusiasm with a plow horse from the farm and a local guy getting on it Than for a professional rodeo, he said. in other business at the meeting, it was announced that the Fire Marshall and safety inspector will be called to inspect the old Export Packers building on Main Street. Mr. Webster said the structure has already been condemned by the Board of Health. The BBA hopes to get the building sealed up or removed to end the hazard for chldren who h ave been playing in the building.
