LEONARD LEEMING Mrs. Leonard Leeming, 82, of the Riverside Nursing Home in Mitchell, formerly of Walton, died Wednesday at the Rehabili- tation and Extended Care Unit of Stratford General'Hospit al. She was the former Edna Jane Mitchell, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell, of Fullarton. She married. Leonard Leeming on July 12, 1924, and they farmed until retiring to Walton in 1961. Mr. Leeming died in 1969. She was a life-long member of the Unitpd Church Women. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Norma) Steele, of R.R.4, Seaforth and a son, Ross, of Seaforth, a sister, Mrs. William (Agnes) Simpson, of Mitchell, and a brother, Ranton, of Mitchell, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the R.S,Box funeral home in • Pallbearers were: William J. Leeming, Stewart Dolmage, Peter Simpson, Allan Searle, Jeffrey; Leeming and Keith Clark. Flower bearers were: David Watson,1 Gordon _Murray, John Boyd. WALTER A. WILLIAMSON ,On Wednesday May 11, 1977, Walter A. Williamson died in Wingham and District Hospital. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the eldest son of John Rolph Williamson and Elizabeth Smith. He was predeceased by two sisters, Nina and Maude and one brother John. While still very young, he moved to Golden, British Columbia and then came to live in Brussels with his grandmother Mrs. Walter Smith and hi, s uncle Wm. Smith., after the death of his mother, when he was seven years of age. As a young man, Mr. Williamson went in the painting, business with his uncle Wm. Smith and was a painter and decorator until his retirement some ten years ago. In 1915 he married Laura Annie Cardiff of concession 7, Grey Township and in 1925 they moved into their present home on Turnberry Street. He took a keen interest in politics and civic affairs and served as a council member for several years. In 1931 an indoor arena was built and he was manager of it for almost 30 years and many are those who will remember 'the, gruff kindnesses he showed them during that time. He is survived by his wife and several, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the M.L.Watts Funeral Home, Thursday evening by the Morning Star Rebekah Lodge and the Odd. Fellows Lodge. The service on Friday at 2 p.m. was conducted by the Rev. Eric Le Drew. Int erment was made in Maitland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Bryans, Jack McCutcheon, George McCutcheon, Jim McFarlane, Harvey Dennis and Tom Pletch. Flowerbearers were two great nephews, Bob Tyerman and. Bill. Campbell. RUSSEL C. WILBEE Russel C. Wilbee died in Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, May 12}th. He was in his 83rd year and had been in failing health for some time. Born in Brussels, he was a life-long resident of the community having farmed on the 6th concession of Grey Township until retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Carr, and three sons, Kenneth of R.R.1, Ethel, Ian of Walton and Roy of Manitoba. One brother, Harold, of Saskatchewan predeceased him. Funeral services were held from the M.L.Watts Funeral Home, Brussels, on. Saturday, May 14th At 2;30 p.m. conducted by Rev, E. LeDrew. Interment took place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel. Pallbearers were three grandsons, Bruce, Brian and Keith Wilbee and former neighbours, Joseph Martin, Ross Stephenson and Mac Shaw. Flowerbearers were Cameron Somers and Leo Deitner.
